My CrossFit journey began in Jan 2015, two months after giving birth to my first child. I was excited to try a different kind of workout and lose the baby weight. Before CrossFit, exercise to me was a means to lose weight and I always dreaded going to the gym because it felt like something I needed to do.  With CrossFit, I have come to love my time spent working out. Within the first month of starting I dropped 7 pounds and had all the weight off plus more within 3 months!

When my daughter was six months old, I got pregnant with my second child. I continued doing CrossFit up until 2 days before delivery. The coaches helped me modify the workouts to keep me safe each trimester. I started back up when my Dr cleared me at 6 weeks and AGAIN lost all the weight quickly!

My favorite thing all around though has to be the camaraderie and community. The coaching level of both Jared and Carrie at Grove is the absolute best. They have the utmost level of patience and never lose faith in your ability to reach what you think may be ‘unachievable’. The push you to row faster, lift heavier and always do one more rep…all with the best and safest form possible. If you are looking to not only join a great box, but make some great friends along the way I highly suggest giving Grove CrossFit a try!
